A Musical Journey through Rhythm, Time and Place
A Family Concert

Sameer Patel, conductor
Gill Sotu, writer and host

Music is a passport that can take our imagination to a certain time and place. From swingin’ jazz, to the “Habanera” from Carmen, to Beethoven’s symphonies, we’ll explore how these beats came to be, and how distinctive rhythms transport us to cities like Vienna, Seville and New Orleans. All aboard!

Adult tickets (age 13 and up) are $25; kids attend FREE with the purchase of an adult ticket (one free child ticket per adult admission, offer not valid for previously purchased tickets). To take advantage of this special offer, please call the ticket office at (619) 235-0804. Children ages two years and younger may attend for free, but must sit in an adult's lap.

Pre-concert activities begin at 1:00 p.m. in the lobbies. Try your hand at playing an instrument in the Instrument Discovery Zone, meet one of the San Diego Symphony's musicians and listen to a young ensemble perform! The Instrument Discovery Zone is generously provided by Bertrand’s Music.

Programs, artists and ticket prices are subject to change.
