A Jacobs Masterworks Concert

Midori, violin

DVOŘÁK: Midday Witch, Op. 108
TCHAIKOVSKY: Violin Concerto in D Major, Op. 35
RACHMANINOFF: Symphonic Dances, Op. 45

The one and only Midori comes to San Diego for a performance of Piotr Tchaikovsky's universally beloved Violin Concerto under the direction of rising Scottish conductor Rory Macdonald. The concert opens with a chilling tone poem from Antonín Dvoŕák and closes with Sergei Rachmaninoff's final masterwork, the Symphonic Dances.

The San Diego Union-Tribune has published an interview with Rory Macdonald as he looks forward to conducting these concerts in San Diego.
