Aziz Ansari stars in, writes, and directs Master of None, a Netflix original comedy series that he co-created with Alan Yang (Parks and Recreation). Now in its second season, Aziz won the 2016 and 2017 Emmy Award for “Outstanding Writing for a Comedy Series” and has received five additional nominations for “Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series” (2016 and 2017), “Outstanding Comedy Series” (2016 and 2017) and “Outstanding Directing for a Comedy Series” (2016). He won the 2017 Golden Globe Award for “Best Actor in a TV Series, Comedy” and the show was nominated in 2016 and 2017 for “Best TV Series, Musical or Comedy”. The show was additionally nominated for a 2017 WGA Award for “Writing for a Comedy Series” and a 2017 TCA Award for “Outstanding Achievement in Comedy” and Aziz was nominated for “Individual Achievement in Comedy.” He was recently honored with the Charlie Chaplin Britannia Award for Excellence in Comedy (2017), a SAG nomination in 2017 for “Outstanding Performance by a Male Actor in a Comedy Series” and the 2017 WGAW Evan Somers Award for outstanding writing featuring characters with disabilities, for the Master of None episode “New York, I Love You.” Aziz received his first DGA Award for “Outstanding Directorial Achievement in Comedy Series for 2017” for The Thief, and his first PGA Award – The Danny Thomas Award for Outstanding Producer of Episodic Television, Comedy: Master of None (Season 2).

Upon arrival, all phones and smart watches will be secured in Yondr pouches that will be unlocked at the end of the show. Guests maintain possession of their phones throughout the night, and if needed, may access their phones at designated Yondr unlocking stations in the lobby. All guests are encouraged to print their tickets in advance to ensure a smooth entry process. Anyone caught with a cellphone in the venue will be immediately ejected. We appreciate your cooperation in creating a phone-free viewing experience. No late seating will be allowed.


Tickets for this concert are ON SALE NOW through the Jacobs Music Center Ticket Office (619.235.0804) and through Ticketmaster. Once the Ticket Office allotment has been exhausted, Ticketmaster will be the only remaining source of tickets. All group sales inquiries should be directed to Ticketmaster.


If a performer cancels a concert: tickets sold by the Ticket Office can be returned for refund to the Ticket Office, and tickets sold by Ticketmaster would need to be refunded by Ticketmaster. Otherwise, there are no refunds for any other reason.

Jacobs Music Center will only honor tickets for rental concerts issued through the Symphony Ticket Office or Ticketmaster. Tickets issued by third party entities will NOT be honored for admission!
